Chess is the game played between two opponents on opposite sides of a board containing 64 square of alternating colors.

Each player has 16 pieces: 1 king , 1 Queen , 2 Rooks , 2 Bishops,

2 Knights and, 8 Pawns. The Goal Of the game is to checkmate the other King.

Starting the game:

Chess board is laid out so that each player has white (lights) Color square in the bottom right hand side.
Select the colour of your choice.
Now arrange the chessmans as follows : Rock in the knight next to them , then bishop followed by King ,Queen, Bishop, Knight and at last Rock.

The Queen must be placed at her colour ( Dark Queen €“ Dark Square and Light Square ).

In next row place all 8 pawns of selected colour. The player with the light colour will always move the first.
White then makes a first move, followed by black then white again , then black and so on until the end of the game.
